Whether it’s a 1970s ranch near Kiwanis Park, a lakeside home in The Lakes, or a rental a few blocks from ASU, we design and install fences that fit Tempe’s mature neighborhoods. Show us the yard on video, get your price the same day, and spread the cost with monthly payments.
Tempe has a lot of older homes, busy rentals, and tight lots near campus. Our promise is the same at every address: a fence that's built right and backed up.
If a post leans, a gate drags, or a panel works loose in the first 36 months, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Skip the in-person appointment. A quick Google Meet walkthrough is all we need to give you a firm number.
We're a family business from the Valley, not a national chain. You deal with the same small crew from quote to cleanup.
Tempe is one of the Valley’s most established cities, and many of its yards show it. Around Maple-Ash, Mitchell Park, and the Broadmor area you’ll find decades-old block walls, mature trees with big roots, and wood fences that have simply run their course. Near ASU, landlords want fences that survive heavy use with little upkeep, while families in South Tempe and Warner Ranch usually care most about privacy, pools, and pets.
City rules are a bit different here than in most of the Valley. On single-family lots, Tempe generally allows side and rear fences up to 8 feet, while front-yard fences are usually capped at 4 feet. Anything over 7 feet needs a building permit, and corner lots must keep a clear view for drivers. We review the rules for your Tempe address on the call and plan the fence so it passes without surprises.
Cedar and pine fences to replace worn-out wood behind Tempe’s older ranch homes.
Low-upkeep vinyl that handles heavy use at rentals near ASU without painting.
Ornamental steel that dresses up a Tempe front yard and stays rust-free.
An economical fence for dog runs, side yards, and Tempe rental properties.
Open, rustic rails for larger lots and desert landscaping in South Tempe.

Answers to the questions Tempe homeowners and landlords ask us before a fence goes in.
On single-family lots, Tempe generally allows back and side yard fences up to 8 feet. Front yard fences are usually limited to 4 feet unless the city approves a use permit. Near driveways and street corners, anything taller than about 2 feet can block the view for drivers, so those spots stay low. We confirm the limits for your lot before we build.
Most standard backyard fences don’t need one. In Tempe, a building permit is generally required once a fence or wall goes over 7 feet, and retaining walls over 4 feet need one too. If you live in an HOA community, you’ll likely still need its approval. We’ll tell you on the call whether your project needs any paperwork.
Tempe asks for a barrier at least 5 feet tall with no gaps a 4-inch ball can pass through and no more than 2 inches of space at the bottom. Walk-through gates must open away from the pool and close and latch on their own. If the latch is lower than 54 inches, it goes on the pool side. Inspectors check this before the pool is filled, so we build it to pass.
Yes. Many of our Tempe customers are landlords and property managers. For rentals we usually suggest vinyl, steel, or chain link, since they take a beating and need almost no maintenance. The video estimate makes it easy, too. A tenant or manager can walk us around the property while you join the call from anywhere.
Absolutely. Lots of Tempe homes have an aging wood fence along a side yard and a block wall at the back. We remove and haul away the old fence, then tie the new one neatly into the existing wall. If the block wall itself is cracked or leaning, we’ll point that out during the estimate.
You’ll get a price on the day of your video call. After that, a typical residential job in Tempe takes one to three days on site, depending on length and material. Removal of the old fence is usually done the same day the new posts go in.
